Myspace Marketing
How, When, Why and what to expect.
Marketing a website,
product or service is the only
way to ever be successful. Without
people knowing about your product,
website or services you will never
get results that are worth while.
There are currently
over 80,000,000 people who are
members on myspace all across
the world making this an excellent
forum to catapult a successful
viral and myspace campaign.
Before we get into
expectetations I want to point
out that a product, service or
website will only go so far is
the website, product or service
is not quality and something that
people need, want or find interesting.
If you plan on doing free advertising
for adsense sites you might not
get the best results but myspace
marketing my still provide some
adequate results and I will cover
this later.
How to market on
MySpace
In order for you
to do this effectively you want
to reach as many people as possible
that are in your appropriate niche.
You cannot successfully market
yourself on myspace if you have
to greet each user individually
so people have created MySpace
spammers. These allow you to automate
this process. You can automate
friend request’s, comment’s, email’s
and much more.
I first build a
profile on myspace. I always customize
my myspace page with CSS in order
to give a clean, hipe, professional
look to my page. Asthetics are
important because we are visual
creatures and we want them to
stay on our page once they are
there. Its important to build
your page with marketing in mind.
Something I have done for a dating
website is build a profile of
a very attractive women. I say
she is a model and is helping
a friend market his dating site.
I go on to say that she uses her
friends service and has found
someone and highly recommends
it. This is indirect marketing
as I did not build a profile as
my dating site but as a real person.
This is just a technique and used
as an example, you will need to
modify and adapt to whatever you
are trying to achieve.
Friend Request’s
What I have found
helpful is I will navigate to
a certain group (lets say auto)
and I will go to a profile I think
has a lot of friends who are into
the same thing and I will mass
friend request all 3,000 friends.
Within a few hours all friends
have been requested and I have
probably two thirds of those 3,000
will join me as my friend.
After I have my
site completely polished I will
send out a mass comment saying
thank you for the add and maybe
something about my website. This
will automatically appear on there
profile and not only will the
user see if but anyone who comes
to the site will see it in essence
this user has now became a billboard
for your advertising needs!
I also setup timed bulletins to
go out which help people remember
that you exsist on myspace and
those do get a lot of click through
traffic!
